This firm made wheel machinery and lathes begining in 1890 or '91. By 1920 it appears that the company specialized in making machine knives and no longer made machinery. In October 2009 the company assets were acquired by ASKO.

- The 1904 Annual Report of the Department of Inspection of Workshops lists Wapakoneta Machine Co. as a maker of machine knives. They had 11 employees, all adult men. For 1905 they employed 18 men and 6 boys. For 1906 they were described as a machinery manufacturer, employing 11 men and 6 boys. The 1909 report describes them as a maker of woodworking machinery; the report did not list the number of employees.

- Text advertisement in the 1921-06-30 The Iron Age: "Shear blades / Solid or Laid / Straight, circular or irregular / The Wapakoneta Machine Company / Wapakoneta, Ohio". The same issue listed Wapakoneta Machine Co. as a maker of machine knives and shear blades.
- The Romaine trade catalog collection includes a catalog from "Wapakoneta Machine Company".
