From ad in a 1957 issue of "Canadian Woodworker." It says, "The only Canadian company manufacturing all types of sanding equipment." A photo of what appears to be an older-design edge-belt sander shows a label that reads, simply, "Campbell". Other machines say "Campbell & Perrin."
This company is apparently descended from the earlier Campbell Machinery, about which almost nothing is known.
The partners were Norm Campbell and Sandy Perrin. Campbell was an unschooled but ingenious mechanic and designer. Perrin, who was probably connected to the predecessor Campbell Machinery, was the marketing man. At some point Doug Todd took over the company.
