Bardons and Oliver make a wide range of turret lathes, single-geared, and back-geared, with and without wire-feeds, cut-off slides, and forming-tools. One of the simplest is shown in Fig. 250. It is made in 6¾-in., 7¾-in., and 8¾-in. centres. There is a chasing attachment, with adjustable piece in front for cutting tapered threads. The turret-slide can be fed by screw, or by rack and pinion, change from one to the other being made by the knob seen in front. |
