Millers Falls Track Drill
Millers Falls Company of 98 Reade Street, New York, are introducing a track drill intended for drilling holes through rails for electric bonding wires, and binding rods, etc. One rail is grasped by lugs formed on the end of a yoke, the shank of which is bent, as shown in the engraving. From the shank extends a bar, which spans the track and carries at its outer part an adjustable step to adapt the device for use upon tracks of any gauge. Upon the inner portion of the bar is mounted a universal angular and ratchet drilling machine. The drill is provided with two sets of gears, making it either speeded or geared back. The tool weighs 68 pounds and will carry drills up to 1 inch in diameter. |
