The Watertown Portable Engine. The patent portable engine shown in Fig. 41, and built by the Watertown Steam Engine Co., Watertown, N. Y., is the result of thirty years of careful study and repeated experiment: there is no point in its design and construction that has not been thoroughly proved by use. At the same time it has maintained itself fully abreast of the times in the march of inventive and scientific improvement. There is no recognized need of the steam user for which it does not provide, and there is no improvement, convenience or addition of decided advantage to the modern steam-engine that is not found in this engine. |
