Photos are undated. Percy Ford-Smith (1881-1956) was married in 1905 to Olive Louise (Spengler) Ford-Smith. They moved in about 1907 from Manchester, England, to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Apparently his father owned a machine tool business in Manchester and Percy moved to Canada to start a branch there, which was the Ford-Smith Machine Co., Ltd. The business was successful, and the couple had three children: Frances, Helen, and Herbert. Percy retired in the early 1950s and moved to Winter Haven, Florida where he died just a few years later. He was buried in Hamilton. |
