In the Homan patent design of rest (fig. 55) the tool is held, as before, in a horizontal position, and is adjusted vertically by means of the screw shown at the right side of the post. It will be seen also that the tool can be turned horizontally into any position. When the block is at the correct height it is clamped tightly by binding up the screw at the side of the collar.
