Outboard Motors Corp. made a combination lathe and bandsaw that was labeled "Ole Evinrude's Shop-King / Outboard Motors Corporation Milwaukee, Wisc., U.S.A. / Manufacturers of EVINRUDE and ELTO Outboard Motors / Patents applied for." OMC was created in 1936 (see http://www.lawnboy.com/ for a history), and the observed example with the OMC name, "patents applied for", and a low serial number all suggest that the Shop-King was introduced around 1936. The Lawn-Boy web site says that the machine was produced until the start of the Second World War, which to Americans means late 1941.
