A. H. Pomeroy sold scrollsaws and related materials—patterns, wood, and blades. He sold a "New American" model saw that bore only the A. H. Pomeroy name, although it is very likely that it was made by someone else under contract to Pomeroy. He was active from 1880 to 1905 and likely for longer.
