Motor-controlling device
|
John T. Janette |
Chicago, IL |
This motor controller provides on-off functions for an air compressor. According to later court testimony, the inventor said that he later created a three-point switch was designed so that "if a hose blew off, creating an abnormal low pressure, the pump would stop. All these devices were used, chiefly, on beer pumps. He states that about twenty-five of these devices were made and sold... He did not seek for not obtain any patent on this three point modification of his original control." |

Clutch apparatus
|
William A. Wight |
Hinsdale, IL |
This invention provided "improved valve and control apparatus." One of the goals is to provide easier maintenance access. "One form which this invention may assume includes an induction type electric motor adapted to drive the engaging portion of a speed and torque sensitive clutch. The driven portions of such a clutch will, through an appropriate gearing arrangement, engage a rotatable splined thrust nut which is internally threaded to engage a coaxial valve stem..." |
