Boring-machine
|
Nathan Saunders |
Westerly, RI |
This invention was the subject of an article by the late George Little in the May 1994 issue of the Western New York Antique Tool Collectors Association newsletter. That article provided the information on the manufacturer, which is that the machine was manufactured by the Atwood Machine Company and sold by the Wells Mfg. Company. The article conjectures that the manufactured boring machine, which differs in some respects from the patent drawings, was improved by John Atwood of Atwood Machine Co. The article concludes by noting that "Seldom are machines found with a readable original label on them." |
