Storm door glazing bead
|
Frank M. Letarte |
Smith Creek, MI |
Of some interest because a company named LeTarte Co., Inc. of Smiths Creek, MI, made a double miter machine. A Walter G. LeTarte received a 1987 patent related to such a machine, and a couple of years before that he had a patent related to spraying urethane foam into metal channels. It all adds up to suggest that Frank and Walter (perhaps father and son) made doors and windows, and Walter invented some machinery to be used in that endeavour. |

Purging device for a filler carrier
|
Walter G. LeTarte |
Goodells, MI |
"A filler carrier of the type adapted to move metal extrusions in a generally horizontal plane beneath the dispensing nozzle of a machine for dispensing uncured liquid plastic is disclosed." Although the patent specification does not say so, it sounds like the invention relates to a machine for making metal-framed doors and/or windows. The patent is of interest because the inventor went on to manufacture a double miter saw such as is used in making doors and windows. |
