Decker was still with the company, so why did he assign an invention to someone else? A possible clue is in patent 1,911,857, where Marschke Mfg. Co. is identified as being from Towson, Maryland, which was (and is) the hometown of Black & Decker. Perhaps Marschke Mfg. was acquired by B&D. |
