Improvement in machines for making machine screws
|
Francis Curtis |
Brattleboro, VT |
This patent is the first automatic screw machine. The inventor would make further improvements but this first effort is still quite sophisticated, starting from wire stock and producing complete screws without any further finish work required. He manufactured them himself in Brattleboro for a time. Who produced later versions of this invention—if anyone did—remains uncertain. |
