David J. Ross Co. was founded in 1936 as a subsidiary of lampshade manufacturer Duv Co. Ross's plant manager Edward Rouselle designed a punch press with safety devices, which Ross Co. manufactured. Ross also manufactured four models of stationary Rouselle Victory machine vises in 1942-1945.
