Furness Brothers Co. assumed manufacturing Cumming forges from David Cumming (1856-1912), both of of Chicago, IL. The forges appear in the 1914 catalog of Crerar Adams & Co. The Cumming forge was patented by his father, George Cumming of San Francisco, CA, who also made them there.
