The Smith & Egge Manufacturing Co. was established about 1872 by William Smith and Frederick Egge to make sewing machines, which are outside the scope of the Vintage Machinery website. They also made a very broad range of hardware, such as chain, sash pulley components, and conductors' punches. They are listed here because in 1893 they were making the "New Giant" keyless drill chuck and the Dosch patent universal miter trimmer.
