Image Description:
The accompanying illustration shows the Simplicity vertical engine built in 1½, 2½ and 4½ h. p. sizes. The Simplicity engine, which is manufactured by the Western Malleable & Grey Iron Mfg. Co., Port Washington, Wis., is one of the oldest on the market and was primarily designed for farm use, although it is equally applicable for factory use. A noticeable feature of the Simplicity engine is its ignition system, that is so operated that it only produces a spark when there is a charge in the cylinder, thus saving wear and tear on the igniter and using up the battery unnecessarily. This concern has issued a very comprehensive catalogue covering the entire line of engines manufactured by them and which contain very strong arguments for their goods. A copy of the catalogue can be obtained upon application.
