This lathe swings 36 in., is back-geared, with power-feed, and has an 8-f t. bed. The cone-pulley has four changes for 3 ¼-in. belt; largest speed is 14 in. in diameter. The spindle is of steel, with 1 7/8-in. hole through its length, and runs in bearings of phosphor-bronze; the front bearing is 3 5/8 in. in diameter, 5 ¼ in. in length. The turret is 12 in. in diameter, revolves automatically, and has 6 holes bored 1 ¼ in. in diameter. The turret-slide is operated by a pilot-wheel, and is provided with adjustable automatic stop to the power-feed, and will bore holes up to 13 in. in length without resetting.
