This small machine combines the functions of planing, tonguing and grooving, and was marketed to carpenters, small planing-mill owners, and box-makers. It uses Burleigh's patent expansion feed-gear links (patent 14,272), and Rugg's patent planer feed-roll weighting. It can plane and match stock up to 14 inches wide, and can plane stock up to 24 inches wide with the matcher heads removed.
The planer was available with one- or two-sided planing, and with 4 or 6 rolls; price varied from $600 to $900. |
