This nameplate was found in the ruins of a demolished house. The image is courtesy of Dorothy J. Titus of Minneapolis. The stamped information is illegible.
We were unable to find a patent issued on Sept 6, 1927, that would seem to correspond to a "Universal Electric Woodworker", except for patent 1,641,646 for a handheld power tool. The inventor, Max Skolnik, was from Minneapolis which makes it more plausible that Mereen-Johnson agreed to make it. |
