Also known as RBI. Began in 1929 as a manufacturer for Belsaw Machinery Co. They made all of Belsaw's planers until 1980. At that time, RBI developed the Universal Woodplaner, which is a planer where the cutterhead can be replaced with other assemblies to perform molding, sanding, or gang sawing. Belsaw declined to market it, so RBI cut their ties to Belsaw and sold it under the RBI name.
