The instructions also note, "Named 'Butterfly' because it as as noiseless in its running as a butterfly is in its flying." The company was a subsidiary of "Germanow-Simon Machine Co., Inc. / Main offices / 408 St. Paul St. / Rochester, N.Y. 14605".
