Machine for making core-supports
|
Alvin W. Needham |
Detroit, MI |
These core-supports are also called chaplets or anchors, and are used to hold cores in position during casting. We know that Crescent Machine Works of Grand Rapids made chaplets and that our inventor, A. W. Needham, was a partner in that business in the late 1890s. Crescent likely made these machines for its own use but did not manufacture them in quantity. |
