H. B. Smith & Co produced a number of gray iron castings including boilers. The company still exists today and is now a subsidiary of Mestek, Inc. They can be found at www.smithboiler.com.
The patent gives the inventor's as simply "H. B. Dart". Some spelunking of genealogy websites gave us the name Henry Braddock Dart, born about 1820 to '22 and died in 1895. |
