Rotary engine
|
Herbert M. Dailey |
Chicago, IL |
An article in the December 1905 Canadian Machinery says that Charles Hetherington (co-assignee on this patent) had developed a new rotary steam engine and that Dailey Rotary Engine Co. would be licensing its design to engine manufacturers. This article and a minor follow-up article the following month are the last mentions we can find of the Dailey Rotary Engine Co.—which had been incorporated with $100,000 funding—and it seems that the engine was never sold. |

A prototype of this engine was built for the Dailey Rotary Engine Co., which planned to license the design to others. So far as we can tell, this never happened and the Dailey Rotary Engine Co. disappeared a trace. |
