Harry I. Wilson and Harry R. Wilson, of Kansas City, MO, received a 1942 patent for a radial arm saw. Their design, in the form of a hulking 16" saw, was subsequently manufactured at least four different companies: Franklin Machine Co., of Providence, RI, A. W. Harris Co. of Providence, RI, Media Machine Works, Inc. of Media, PA, and Burke Miller Manufacturing Co. of Kansas City, MO. All four companies labeled the saw as the "Wilson" radial arm saw.
Harry R. Wilson also received a 1951 patent for a radial arm saw; that patent was assigned to Skilsaw, Inc.
