Craigslist purchase in Missouri. Saw had been unused a while and sitting in a shed. Table was non-original, had a musty smell, but bars and bolts are all there. I am planning to have the ways recut and replace all bearings. I have decided to repaint the base and leave the finish on the saw as is. Going to build a Mr. Sawdust table.
5-15-2010 Motor and arm bearings replaced, no need to work on ways. I took the table from my other MBF and thickness planed 1/32 off the top to help flatten and remove the rings from a paint can, then coated it with polyurethane. The arbor had to be electroplated for the new 88504 bearing to fit. The new fence and rear inserts are poplar. Added a 8" Freud combination blade. The saw makes an incredible cut.
