This vintage Crescent Heavy 20 Band Saw was owned by my grandfather. He purchased it from a lumberyard in the 1950's. Both wheels spin like they are gliding, even after all these years. It is driven by a GE motor that is currently wired for 110V but can be converted to 220V. It needs a belt to connect the drive motor to the saw wheels. It stands approximately 6'-3" from the foot of the saw. It's a bit taller if measuring from the ground. There is about 12" of blade available from the table to the blade guide in its uppermost position. There is approximately 19" clear between the blade and the return arm. and the guide wheels are just over 20" in diameter. I have a bag of blades with various tooth patterns also included. It currently sits on a rolling cart which is included. It weighs a ridiculous amount of pounds. You will need a good sized trailer or truck to take it. A fork lift may be available to assist in loading. |
