Vintage hollow chisel mortiser made by Cowan Machinery in Ontario. This machine works great, and accepts the standard size bits and chisels sold by Lee Valley Tools and other suppliers. It used to be part of the UBC cabinet shop, back when they did all of their woodwork in-house. It presently does not have power to it, but I can arrange a demonstration with a bit of notice. This thing is museum-quality in it's original black and gold paint, but makes a great daily work horse. I used it in my shop for 5 years until I had to pack it up to move.
Included is one new 1/2" chisel and bit, 220v single phase motor, and 30' extension cord. I'll even throw in a robust little wheeled platform to move it around, but I don't recommend using it on the platform. It's a top-heavy machine already, and doesn't need an excuse to be tippier.
