This is a Sterling Slo Speed motor by Sterling Electric Motor Los Angeles
1/2 h.p. 1 ph, 60 cycle 208 v 4.4 amps
1200 rpm gear reduced to 37, double pulley 6" x 5/8"
frame # L-204-22 #P21599-04

Dimensions described are for motor only. It sits on a 3 sided, welded 15" X 15 1/2" x 4" channel iron base, topped with 1 1/2" lumber for a total height of base and top of 5 1/2". Gear box is oil filled and can be drained and refilled. While it is hard to read the instructional label I believe the gear box takes a standard gear oil. This is quite heavy motor, I can just lift it so w/o weighing it I would gues it's somewhere near 150 pounds. I have never run it, only because it's plug is not compatible with any of my 220 outlets. If there is real interest I will change the plug to test it. I am quite certain, from the motor's appearance, that it is a good unit.

Comments:
The motor and base together are somewhere this side of 150 pouinds (I'd guess as I can lift it just off the ground) although I do have a shipping scale and can weigh it. Item could be shipped without the base to save some cost but it is quite nicely made and it probably would,t save that much.
