For Sale or Trade Oliver 66 Gap Bed Pattern Lathe
Oliver 66 Patternmakers Lathe, 2 speed motor with 8 spindle speeds. 30 inch swing with roughly 6 foot between centers with the bed closed and 8 ½ foot between centers with the bed/gap open. Multiple single tool rests and face plates and outboard turning stand. Drive centers and complete compound with the optional auxiliary compound that allows you to turn with the compound to a full 48”. This machine is plug and play and fully tooled. Originally purchased in 1956, I am the second owner of this lathe. This pattern lathe will turn 30” over the bed, 48” in the gap and roughly 7’ outboard. Along with multiple faceplates, I also have lots of additional tooling. I am preparing to downsize to a smaller more manageable shop in the next year or so and in preparation for that move I would like to downsize a few pieces of my OWWM as well. Ideally I would like to do a little horse trading for a smaller pattern lathe with another woodworker who might be looking to move up to a larger lathe. I am looking for something with a smaller footprint with a 16-18” swing +/- I’m open to something plug and play, or a project but would like something complete and relatively undamaged beyond the normal expected wear and tear. Depending on condition, tooling, etc, I’m open to a straight swap, or a swap and a little cash. Some type of trade preferred but sale price without would be $3500 OBO. Lathe is three phase 240v and I can assist with loading. I have plenty of additional photos/video available for any interested parties. I also have all the dirty paper, birth certificate, etc from Eagle machinery as well. The lathe is powered and can be run in person prior to purchase.
