Trying to repair my father's first power tool and miter head broke. Groove 0.20" deep and 5/8" wide for bar part number 33240. (later 3/4 wide bars would not seem to fit.) Cast metal miter gauge head broke the pin which sticks down into the bar's 0.189 (3/16") hole to pivot the miter head when the adjuster knob is loosened. Miter head part number 33421 seems unavailable. Ideal: finding a 33421. OR, does anyone have something that can work, either 5/8 x 3/16 miter of 6" width, or head from later Craftsman that shares the design with protruding 3/16 pivot pin and slot that accommodates my pin to tightening bolt dimension on 1.387 ctr-ctr so I can put an alternative Miter gauge on my bar? Putting replacement pin in cast metal miter gauge is next direction but unlikely to succeed due to metal thickness and design of web, etc. OR, a band saw miter of similar small size that uses the narrow 5/8" slot?
